Karingal is home to Frankston's second largest shopping complex, Centro Karingal (the largest being the Bayside Shopping Centre in the Frankston CBD). It features two Safeway supermarkets, a

Karingal's main arterial road is Cranbourne Road, which connects it to the Frankston CBD, to the neighbouring suburb of Langwarrin and terminates in the
City of Casey suburb of Cranbourne. Another major road is McClelland Drive, which divides Karingal and Langwarrin, and accesses the neighbouring suburbs of Carrum Downs, Skye and theShire of Mornington Peninsula suburb of Baxter. Ballam Park Homestead
The "Ballam Ballam" estate was home to prominent early settlers of the Frankston area, the Liardet's. Frank Liardet, who some believe Frankston is named after, established the property in
