Located near the Green Line in the Tulkarm area, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hefer Valley Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 665.
The moshav was founded on 6 December 1949 by demobilised Palmach soldiers and immigrants from Hungary, and was initially named Nahal Reuven, but was later renamed in honour of Josiah Wedgwood. It was established on land which had belonged to the Arab village of Qaqun. Qaqun was depopulated during a military assault by Israeli forces during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
