Beit Yitzhak-Sha'ar Hefer ( _he. בֵּית יִצְחָק-שַׁעַר חֵפֶר, lit. "House of Isaac - Hefer Gate") is a moshav in central Israel Located in the Sharon plain near Netanya, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hefer Valley Regional Council. In 2007 it had population of 1,700.
History
Beit Yitzhak was founded in 1963 as a merger of four small villages, Beit Yitzhak, Sha'ar Hefer, Nira and Gan Hefer. Ganot Hadar was originally part of the merger, but later became independent again.
Geography
Beit Yitzhak is located in Emek Hefer, just off route 57, which runs from Netanya to Tulkarm, near the Kfar Yona intersection.
Economy
Beit Yitzhak's main industry is agriculture, particularly fruits and vegetables. The kibbutz moshav produces fruit spreads, preserves, jams and honey, and also has a winery which uses grapes from its vineyards at Kerem Ben Zimra in the Upper Galilee.
