California's 55th State Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Democrat Warren T. Furutani of Long Beach, who won the special election to replace Democrat Laura Richardson, who had been elected to California's 37th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.

District Profile

The district currently consists of 4.45% of Los Angeles County and includes all of Carson and West Carson, 73.68% of Lakewood, 33.42% of Long Beach, and 2.64% of Los Angeles.
