Imperial Elementary School is a Kindergarten through sixth grade elementary school located in the central section of Anaheim Hills, California within the Orange Unified School District. The school site is located south of Canyon High School and is adjacent to Imperial Park. Imperial Elementary opened in 1976 to relieve overcrowding at nearby schools Anaheim Hills Elementary School and Nohl Canyon Elementary School while the Anaheim Hills community was being developed. The school's boundaries primarily include all the central areas of Anaheim Hills. A small portion of the student body comes from throughout the district, mainly for the purpose of being in the schools renowned special education program. Imperial Elementary follows a year round schedule.
The school has a student body of only 339 students, and a racial composition of 55% White, 15% Hispanic, 14% Asian, 2% Filipino, and 14% other/no response. 7% of the student body are english language learners and 2% are eligable for a reduced price lunch. 13% of the students at Imperial Elementary have mental or physical disabilities. Despite having a high concentration of disabled students, the school maintains a very strong API score of 861.
Students who attend Imperial Elementary move onto El Rancho Charter School for seventh and eighth grades followed by Canyon High School for grades nine through twelve; both of which are in Anaheim Hills.
