History
The station opened when the stretch of line from here to Nerima was elevated and quadrupled on December 7, 1994. It is currently Seibu's newest station. Through services to the Tokyo Metro began on December 15, 2001.
Lines
Layout
There is one ten-car-long island platform serving the inner two tracks of the line on the third floor. The ticket gates are on the second floor, and the two exits (North and South) are on the first (ground) floor. The North exit leads to a rotary for buses and taxis. The station is fully accessible.
Platform one is for Shakujii-kōen, Hōya, Hibarigaoka, Kiyose, Tokorozawa, Kotesashi and Hannō, while platform two is for Nerima, Ikebukuro, Shin-Kiba (on the Tokyo Metro Yūrakuchō Line) and Shibuya (on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line).

Trains serve this station 0430-0105 weekdays, 0430-0055 weekends. Only local trains call at this station. The typical hourly off-peak service is:

- 2 trains to Shin-Kiba
- 2 trains to Shibuya
