BART Green Line|The Fremont - Daly City Line of the
Bay Area Rapid Transit system in theSan Francisco Bay Area consists of 19metro station s from Fremont to Daly City. It passes throughUnion City, California , Hayward, San Leandro, Oakland, and San Francisco. This line operates during the daytime, Monday through Saturday. There is no service on weeknights, Saturday nights, or at any time on Sundays. Passengers who wish to travel to/from Fremont and San Francisco/Daly City at these times must transfer between the
Richmond - Fremont Line and theDublin/Pleasanton Line . Transfer with thePittsburg/Bay Point Line is also possible, but the timing of the transfer may not be convenient.BART lines are usually not referred to by the color that identifies them on official system maps, so this line is rarely called the Green Line and the term is never used by BART officials. It is sometimes called the Fremont Line. In May
2008 , an electrical fire at the Hayward Maintenance Yard caused the Fremont Line to end at Hayward Station. Soon after service was restored but with only half as many trains in service as repairs were being made. Full service was restored in July 2008.
