This is a very loose film adaptation of the novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. It was made by Fox Film Corporation when it and many other early film studios in America's first motion picture industry were based in Fort Lee, New Jersey at the beginning of the 20th century.[1][2][3]The film is now considered to be lost.[4]
