A B C D–F G H–J K–L M–O P–R S T–V W–ZCulworth was a railway station near the village of Moreton Pinkney in Northamptonshire. The station was on the former Great Central main line, the last main line to be constructed from the north of England to London which opened in March 1899.
History
Although named "Culworth" after the nearby village of the same name, the station was actually situated nearer the larger settlement of Moreton Pinkney which had, since 1873, its own station on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway. For Culworth villagers, Eydon Road Halt station on the Great Central's branch to Banbury was however far more convenient.[1]
The station closed in 1958 and an industrial farm unit now occupies the site.[2]
