- MTV Video Music Award for Best Collaboration
-
The MTV Video Music Award for Best Collaboration was first introduced to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007 under the name Most Earthshattering Collaboration, as the VMAs were revamped and a few new categories were added to the show. When MTV brought the VMAs back to their old format in 2008, though, this category did not return. In 2010, the category came back with the name Best Collaboration. Beyoncé Knowles has received the most nominations and wins in this category: She has been nominated twice as lead artist and once as a featured artist. Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and Akon follow, both with one nomination as a lead artist and one as a featured artist.
