Canadian Community Economic Development Network

The Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet) is a member-driven Canadian organization that seeks to increase the scale and effectiveness of community economic development (CED) - helping organizations and individuals strengthen their communities and create solutions to local needs. The CCEDNet vision is to strengthen community economic development in urban, rural, northern and Aboriginal communities across Canada, and contribute to better social, economic and environmental conditions at the local level. CCEDNet's members are from community-based organizations, co-operatives, social enterprises, practitioners, active citizens, researchers, and other organizations from every region of Canada.

CCEDNet is governed by an eleven member elected board. The current board of directors are: Natasha Jackson (President), Carol Madsen (Vice-President), Cathy Harrington (Past President), Caroline Lachance (Secretary-Treasurer), Éthel Côté (Co-chair, Policy Council), Alex Chernoff (Co-chair, Emerging Leaders), Brad Franck (Chair Membership Committee), Diana Jedig (Chair, Practitioner and Sector Strengthening Committee), Marie Baptiste, Louis Grenier, and Victoria Morris.
