Charles Geoffrey Nicholas Kay-Shuttleworth, 5th Baron Shuttleworth, KCVO (born 2 Aug 1948), is the son of Charles Ughtred John Kay-Shuttleworth and his wife Ann Whatman [1]. He became Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire on 13 January 1997.[1] Lord Shuttleworth has been a Member of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster since 1998 and was appointed Chairman of the Council in January 2006 [2].
He was appointed Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) in the 2011 New Year Honours.[2]
His heir apparent is his son, the Honourable Thomas Kay-Shuttleworth (born 1976).
