refnum=74000517The Old Stagecoach Trail, also known as the Old Santa Susana Stage Road, is the route taken by the early travellers between the
San Fernando Valley and Simi Valley. It begins in Chatsworth Park South and climbs through the Santa Susana Mountains wilderness. The route follows the historic Santa Susana Stage Road that once linked Los Angeles with San Francisco from 1859–1890. Santa Susana Pass road was built. Hikers in theSanta Susana Mountains can still see the deep ruts made by the wagons. However, a plaque was embedded into the sandstone rock by theNative Daughters of the Golden West in 1937, designating the Old Santa Susana Stage Road.Part or all of the trail was listed on the
