The Math and Science Academy (MSA) is a charter school that serves students in grades 6 through 12. It is located in the City Center neighborhood of Woodbury, Minnesota. MSA is a tuition free public school open to any student in the state of Minnesota.Subject areas include mathematics, science, humanities, and foreign language. Students must pass complete programs in science and mathematics including biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Graduates meet or exceed the Minnesota Graduation Standards in all areas. If students show exemplary ability in in mathematics, they may be moved into a higher course level. The opposite of this is true as well.

Mathematics-
6th-7th grade: Pre-Algebra
6th-8th grade: Algebra I
7th-9th grade: Algebra II
8th-10th grade: Algebra III
9th-11th grade: Pre-Calculus (Includes Trigonometry)
10th-12th grade: Calculus

7th grade: Earth Science
8th grade: Physical Science
9th grade: Biology
10th grade: Chemistry
11th or 12th grade: Physics
Social Studies-6th grade: Minnesota Studies
7th grade: Geography
8th grade: 8th grade World History
9th grade: Civics and 9th grade World History
10th grade: 10th grade World History
11th-12th grade: Political Sciences and American History

2002-2003: MSA saw the best May term class ever, History of Rock and Roll. It was the most rockin' class that MSA ever saw.
