For a European Serbia – Boris Tadić (Serbian: За европску Србију – Борис Тадић, "Za Evropsku Srbiju - Boris Tadić") is an
electoral coalition that won theSerbian parliamentary election, 2008 ,Vojvodina parliamentary election, 2008 andSerbian local elections, 2008 . The coalition was formed by: the Democratic Party,G17+ ,Serbian Renewal Movement ,League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina andSanjak Democratic Party . The coalition was joined byVeroljub Stevanović branch ofSerbian Democratic Renewal Movement and by theSerbian List for Kosovo and Metohija through G17+. Each of these parties holds one seat on the list. All parties will run as a part of the coalition, except:
*Vojvodina parliamentary election, 2008 , where the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina formed an alliance with some regionalist parties, namedTogether for Vojvodina . The Sanjak Democratic Party can't run in Vojvodina.
*Local elections, where LSV will run alone or in separate coalitions.
*Local elections, where the Serbian Renewal Movement also forms its own coalitions in municipalities, including with LSV (inNovi Sad ), G17+ (inPančevo ) and New Serbia (inBeocin ).
*Local elections, where G17+ sometimes runs alone (eg. inLeskovac )
*Niš where G17+ Serbian Renewal Movement and were part of the ruling coalition in the last year. The Democratic Party refused to enter into a pre-election coalition with G17+ in the city.
*Kragujevac where G17+ is in coalition with Stevanovic'sTogether for Kragujevac Boris Tadić claimed victory in parliamentary elections, onMay 11 , 2008, despite a challenge from nationalist groups. His "For a European Serbia" alliance spearheaded by the DS was set to secure 39% of the vote. Specifically, his Coalition for European Serbia, held 38% of the vote, for 103 seats, whileTomislav Nikolić 'sSerbian Radical Party held 29.6%, or 78 seats, CeSID. Prime MinisterVojislav Kostunica 'sDemocratic Party of Serbia held 11.3%, or 30 seats.
