The most dominant waterfowl include Green-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup, Northern Pintail, and Oldsquaw. Dominant shorebirds include Dunlin and Purple Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, Red-necked Phalarope, and Semipalmated Sandpipers. The islands are home to resident Willow Ptarmigans and Arctic Terns.
