website_name = www.hamonds.norfolk.sch.ukHamond's High School is a secondary school in
Swaffham ,Norfolk ,England . Hamond's high started out as Hamond's Grammar School. The Hamond's grammar school building now serves as the sixth form.General Information
Currently the Head teachers is Ms. Yvonne Srodzinski who took over from Robert Young in 2002.
The school is well known locally for it's Rock Nights, organised by Mr. Alan Wright (head of Science). He has produced a Rock Night for most years since he has been at the school. The first one was put on to address a need for local youth music performances, and we have to thank his son for bringing that need to his attention! Rock Nights are a great way to allow young musicians of all different styles to show their stuff. There have been over 13 of them so far, and everyone looks forward to the next.
Construction
At the moment Hamond's is taking part in a £3 million reconstruction, that is extending the school for the year 7 students for which the school was not designed to facilitate. Hamond's is also building a sixth form building so that the sixth formers shall attend class on the same campus as the High school students rather than at the market place in the town center.
