Southern Football League 1900-01

The 1900-01 Southern Football League season was the 7th in the history of the Southern League, a football competition in England. The League was comprised of future Football League sides and non-league clubs. The teams in the League were divided into First and Second Divisions.

Division One final table

Promotion and relegation

This season saw 2nd placed First Division Bristol City become the first Southern League side to apply for election to the Football League; they succeeded and became members of Football League Division Two. No First Division teams were relegated due to Chatham Town resigning from the League, while Gravesend United left at the end of the season; in their place came newly-elected Northampton Town and Wellingborough. In the Second Division Sheppey United left the League at the end of the season and were replaced by newly-elected Brighton & Hove Albion and West Hampstead.
