Silves ,Portugal is a former Portuguese footballer and a current coach. He played as a central-defender.He played forBenfica , from of 1990 to 1992, and latter forBoavista , from 1992 to 2001. Then, he moved toSporting Lisbon , were he played from 2001 to 2004, and spent a final season inAcadémico de Viseu , were he ended his player career, as a player-trainer. He won for Boavista thePortuguese Cup in 1997 and thePortuguese Liga 2001. He also won the same title for Sporting, in 2002. He's currently the trainer ofBoavista F.C. .International career
Rui Bento was capped 6 times for Portugal, since his first game, at 20 November,1991, in a 1-0 win over Greece for the
