Singapore , and managed bySBS Transit . Similar to other stations on the line, it is an underground station. With a total of 14 different exits, Farrer Park Station is the station with the most number of exits on the North East Line.It is located at the northern end of Little India and
Kitchener Road . It is near the first Turf Club and a tennis centre. The station is also situated close to the Jalan Besar Stadium and Swimming Complex. Because of its proximity to Mustafa Centre, it is also frequented by shoppers from the shopping mall.In the past, the Farrer Park area used to be a prime spot for athletes and sportsmen. Besides having the Turf Club located nearby, the area also had a
boxing ring, a minigolf course, andsoccer fields in addition to what is there today. Thees activities are portrayed in the station's architecture. Paintings with figurative drawings and abstract expression don the station walls to reflect the area's sporting history, as part of the Art in Transit programme. It is titled "Rhythmic Exuberance" and is the creation of Poh Siew Wah.Do note that NE8 Farrer Park station is not to be confused with CC20 Farrer Road station on the Circle Line.

On the evening of
December 25 2007, Some technical difficulties were experienced along the North East Line caused delays for train services. A member of the public who was affected by the delay said she waited for at least 20 minutes for the train at the station.
