Very Reverend Keith Jones (born 1945) is the currentDean of York and a former Dean of Exeter in theChurch of England . Jones was born in
Shrewsbury and received his secondary education atLudlow Grammar School inShropshire . At the age of 18, he went up toSelwyn College, Cambridge to readEnglish Literature . He trained for the priesthood atCuddesdon College ,Oxford .Ministry
Jones was ordained at
Southwark Cathedral and served hiscuracy in the parish of Limpsfield with Titsey,Surrey . He served his first Cathedral post as Priest's Vicar atSt Albans Cathedral , and was appointed Rural Dean ofIpswich in 1992. Jones was appointed Dean ofExeter in 1996.
