Cannabis College (Song)

Cannabis College (Song)

"Cannabis College" is a song written and performed by American musician and singer Jason Mraz. It is regularly played during his live sets, and though it serves as a fan favorite, the song has not been released on any of Mraz's albums.

References to cannabis

The song itself has several allusions to smoking cannabis. Some of these lines include: instead of writing boring papers you roll your tests and quizzes and job offers aplenty with grade point averages at 4 point 20.

Critical reception

Some have criticized the song for being to upfront with its drug references. After a show at Dartmouth College's Alumni Hall, one student said while referring to the song: "It’s like he's pretending to be a true smoker." On the other hand, the song is known as one of Mraz's crowd pleasers. Though Jason Mraz is a true smoker/toker. He was featured in an article in High Times mag.
