- Seton Home Study School
Seton Home Study School is a Catholic homeschool curriculum which includes grades kindergarten through high school.
History
Seton Home Study School was originally affiliated with Seton High School in
Manassas, Virginia . As Seton High School began growing and receiving students from around the country, the school's founder, Dr. Anne Carroll, received requests to allow the courses to be taken by correspondence. Realizing this was the best way to serve those families who would be burdened by boarding their children, Carroll founded Seton Home Study School in1980 . In1985 , Dr. Mary Kay Clark took over as director and the headquarters moved toFront Royal, Virginia . Seton continued to grow and now has an enrollment of about 10,000 students. Seton also entered into the book publishing business and is now the largest publisher in theUnited States of Catholic textbooks and workbooks for children. Some families just use these Seton textbooks, rather than fully enrolling in the school.
