Calvin Russell (born Nov 1 1948 in Austin, Texas), as the 6th of nine children, is an American roots rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. At 12 he started to learn guitar and at 13 joined a band called "The Cavemen". In 1989 he met P. Mathe of the French music-label "New Rose". After his first album was published, Calvin Russell started touring in Europe in 1990.
