Kondratenko was criticized for public antisemitic statements.[1]
Kondratenko was a governor of Krasnodar Kray in 1997-2001, a position in which he was preceded by Nikolai Yegorov, succeeded by Alexander Tkachyov.
Famous for strong promotion of traditional values and Cossack culture revival.
The Moscow Helsinki Group blames Kondratenko for officially supported xenophobia in his area.
