Glasbury ( _cy. "Y Clas-ar-Wy") is a village in
Powys ,Wales which lies at an important crossing point on theRiver Wye , the natural and administrative border withEngland , and is within theBrecon Beacons National Park just north of theBlack Mountains, Wales . The early village grew around the original
parish church dedicated toSt. Peter (which was rebuilt further south in 1837 when the river changed course).There are records of a
manor of Glasbury and earthworks of acastle were visible. The nature reserve known as ‘Glasbury Cutting’ has been created from a disused railway line and is to the east of Glasbury, on the B4350 towards
