Marsden State High School is located on Muchow Road between the suburbs of Marsden and Waterford West. The school was established in 1987 and—as of 2008—has 1,900 students—of that 1,900, approximately 1,400 are Pacific Islanders. It is also home to the Marsden Makos.
The school's colours were brown and cream, which changed to red and ash in 2009.
