Retrieved Feb. 17, 2008.] Trihey debuted with the Shamrocks in a one game appearance in 1897 and quickly earned a full-time spot on the roster. OnFebruary 4 ,1899 Trihey amassed ten goals in one game in a match versus Quebec. He would go on to lead the Shamrocks to three consecutiveStanley Cup titles.Trihey served as secretary-treasurer and president of the CAHL following his retirement as a player. He also served as a referee and sat on the advisory board of the
Montreal Wanderers Hockey Club. He was inducted into theHockey Hall of Fame in 1950.
