Miroslav Jenča, s Slovak diplomat

Miroslav Jenča is a Slovak diplomat and ambassador.

Miroslav Jenča held the function of an ambassador of Slovakia to Mexico (2000). Between 2004-2007 he led the Regional OSCE Center in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Jenča held the position also during the tragic events in the Uzbek town of Andijan in 2005.

Based on his previous experience in the Central Asia gained during his stay in Tashkent, he was in 2008 named by the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon, his deputy as the director of a newly created UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia.
