Chrystina Lauren Sakamoto Sayers (born August 14, 1986 in San Diego, California) is an American singer and dancer of Jamaican, Native American, Irish and African descent, although her adoptive parents are of Japanese and African American descent. Sayers is from San Diego, California. She was adopted into a family with Japanese and African American descent to parents Ron Sayers and Nancy Sayers, and brothers Solomon and Gabriel,Fact|date=August 2008 but her birth parents are of Irish, Jamaican, African, and Native American backgrounds. She took singing lessons when she was 14 years old and studied dance for six years. She stated that the competition has made her more humble.

Chrystina had a relationship with model / dancer Joe Slaughter, whom she met on the show. They have since ended their relationship.

Reality series

Sayers was known from her taking part in the show "". During the show, she primarily was having trouble memorizing her lyrics and letting her nerves get the best of her quite often, landing her three times in the bottom two. Throughout the show, she had a strong friendship with Natalie Mejiaand another strong relationship withroxanne George. Mejia helped her with much support throughout the show. However, she also received high praises from the judges on several strong performances and won one challenge.She has stated that she did not think she would make it into the group before Robin made the surprising statement that Girlicious would have four members. Career

Chrystina is a member of Girlicious who was the opening act for the Backstreet Boys on their US & Canadian part of the Unbreakable World Tour that began on July 30 ,2008, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada and ended on September 6, 2008. She will currently be filming a third music video with the group on October 6th-7th for Baby Doll. She also will be coming back to Canada to do a secound tour this year with the group and they will be bringing 2 singers for opening including Danny Fernandez in October.
