next_tour = The Backstreet Boys' Unbreakable Tour was a 2008 concert tour.

This was the first Backstreet Boys tour without Kevin Richardson.

The Unbreakable World Tour was also the group's first tour since the Never Gone World Tour in 2005. It kicked off in Japan with two sold out concerts in the Tokyo Dome. The group is making the tour more like the one's they put on during the start of their career with more dancing than their previous tour. An interesting aspect of this tour is that each member will perform a solo number during the concert. The group is also going back to more of a matching and set wardrobe.

The group planned to make it a true world tour, hitting countries that they had not visited in years, along with visiting new countries, including their first stop ever on tour in Russia, along with South Africa dates.

The Luxembourg date was suspended after a fire broke out at the venue the afternoon of the performance, no one was seriously injured, but there was damage to the group's wardrobe. [ [http://www.wort.lu/articles/6614224.html] ]

Group members Howie Dorough and A.J. McLean debuted new solo songs during the tour.

Group member A.J. McLean is doing a solo tour as well.

The group's sold out show at the O2 in London was recorded for a webcast and tour DVD. Extra lighting and pyrotechnics was added to aid in the process.

On the final show of the Asian leg of tour, the group changed things up and sang Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon, and audience members threw paper airplanes around while the group performed Inconsolable.

During a few shows on the European leg, the group performed their song Siberia from the album Never Gone.

While on tour, the group announced that they would return to the studio to write and record their next CD, due out in 2009.

Girlicious was the opening act on the North American tour.

Due to the popularity of the tour, the group announced on September 28th 2008, a second North American leg.Donnie Klang from Making the Band will be the opening act at select dates.

Live DVD

A live DVD was recorded for this tour at Londons O2 Arena on the 14th May 2008. The Release date is still not set.

Brian McFadden, who left the Irish boyband "Westlife" to go solo, supported on the Australian dates.

The Drive Home, a Miami based pop-rock group, supported on the Eastern European and Russian dates.

Stanfour, a German rockband, supported the Backstreet Boys in Germany, Luxembourg (concert was cancelled) and Belgium.

E.M.D. a Swedish "boyband" supported the Backstreet Boys in Stockholm - Sweden

George Nozuka, who is managed by Howie D supported them in all the European dates up to London where he was introduced on stage by Howie.

Girlicious, the newest all-girl-group created by Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin, will open for the Backstreet Boys during several of their North American tour dates (in the U.S. and Canada). The group's debut album is set to be released on August 12th, 2008.
