Sally Taylor MBE (born 1957 England) is an English journalist and presenter, currently working for the BBC.
She anchors "South Today", the flagship news programme of BBC South, and has been working for the BBC for 18 years, reporting on virtually every headline in the region since.
In 2005, she was awarded the MBE for her services to regional broadcasting.
Other work
Sally also writes a weekly column in the southern Daily Echo, and has the Saturday morning show on Radio Solent.
Popularity
Sally has become one of the most popular presenters in on-screen TV. This is due to her relaxed and friendly approach, which constantly brings in the viewers.
Personal life
Sally enjoys sailing, has a passion for wine and is a keen gardener. In 1999, she had a well-publisised battle with Breast Cancer, and as a result is now a key supporter of many charities, being the patron of "Simon Says" (a charity that helps bereaved children) and works closely with other charities and organisations. Her mother died of the disease when she was six.
She attended The Abbey School, an independent school, in Reading.
