As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 498 people, 171 households, and 149 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 27.9 people per square mile (10.8/km²). There were 173 housing units at an average density of 9.7/sq mi (3.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.79% White, 0.20% African American, 0.40% Native American, 1.20% Asian, and 1.41% from two or more races.There were 171 households out of which 38.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.3% were married couples living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.3% were non-families. 10.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.91 and the average family size was 3.10.
In the town the population was spread out with 27.9% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 31.1% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 12.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 108.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 107.5 males.
