interdisciplinary Bachelor's- andMaster's degree at theFachhochschule Cologne since 2002 and at theHamburg University of Applied Sciences (Bachelor only) since 2006, thisacademic degree prepares for working atfire brigade s,emergency medical service es or otheraid organisation s.University
Rescue Engineering has existed since
2002 , theprecondition s being the "allgemeinen Fachhochschulreife" awork experience of four month. Rescue Engineering is a full time study withlecture s andintern s. Support and many assistant professors come from the "Institut für Notfallmedizin" and theprofessional fire brigade s.Curriculum
The
curriculum is similar toindustrial engineering , fielded in parts of engineering, economics and social science.The basics cover the subjects of
chemistry ,physics ,mathematics ,mechanics ,materials science , electrical andmeasurement engineering .The economics part consists of
business and administration ,accounting ,tax es,logistics ,quality management andproject management In the field of the
socioscientific s subjects likelaw andmediation but alsopublic health ,psychology ,sociology andepidemiology should create comprehension for special task in the work of rescue.Career
The alumnus can be employed at
professional fire brigade s, GO or in the management of emergency medical servicees. Tasks infire prevention inindustry orcommerce can also be a career destination.References
