Jacques Hermant (
May 7 , 1855 inParis ,France –June 5 ,1930 in France) was a Frencharchitect .Hermant was one of the most renowned French architects of
fin-de-siècle Paris . He was arationalist architect, but was a strong advocate for theneoromanticism style of the time, preferably the style of "Louis XIII". Hermant was a pioneer withinconcrete construction and erected two of the firstreinforced concrete buildings in Paris along with the French engineerEdmond Coignet (1856–1915), who patented his system in 1892. Hermant was a Professor at theÉcole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He employed the Danish architectHack Kampmann during his stay in Paris in 1883.Significant buildings
