census GR|2 of 2000, there were 545 people, 195 households, and 158 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 12.6 people per square mile (4.8/km²). There were 208 housing units at an average density of 4.8/sq mi (1.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.90% White, 0.18% African American, 0.18% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.18% of the population.There were 195 households out of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.3% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.5% were non-families. 13.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.79 and the average family size was 3.06.
