The Singapore Institute of Management (Abbreviation: SIM; Chinese: 新加坡管理学院) is a private, not-for-profit education organisation in Singapore. It was founded by the Singapore Economic Development Board in 1964. SIM offers academic degree programmes and a variety executive education courses.
The SIM Group comprises four core businesses:
SIM University
Opened in 2005, SIM University (UniSIM) is Singapore's first private university. It has an enrolment of more than 8,000 students pursuing degrees, diplomas and certificates. UniSIM offers over 40 academic programmes through four schools: Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Human Development & Social Services, and Science & Technology.
SIM Global Education
SIM Global Education offers academic programmes through its partnerships with ten international universities and institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Australia. With an enrolment of over 15,000, SIM Global Education has more than 50 full-time and part-time academic programmes at postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma and certificate levels.
SIM Professional Development
SIM Professional Development trains over 14,000 professionals annually through its programme of 800 seminars, workshops and conferences. Its in-company training and consultancy services aim to help companies optimise their effectiveness in various fields of management and human resource development.
SIM Membership
SIM Membership has over 27,000 corporate and individual members, including students of SIM University, SIM Global Education and corporate clients of SIM Professional Development. The society provides opportnities for students and corporate executives to interact and network through its talks and membership activities.
