Miguel Galvan

Miguel Galván (October 13, 1957 - April 14, 2008) was a Mexican actor and comedian born in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas. He rose to fame in a TV commercial where he was a filthy but comic prison inmate, earning him the nickname of "La tartamuda".

Later in his career he starred in a comedy TV show called La hora pico (The Rush hour) made in 2000. In this show he interpreted La madre Sota, El Pollero, Carmelita Salinas, Laura en América, and others.

In La Parodia with Arath de la Torre, Angélica Vale y los Masca Brothers, Freddy y Germán Ortega, he complemented the parodies of Mexican national TV shows.

He also starred in Mexican soap operas. In 2003, he appeared with Andrea Legarreta and Eduardo Capetillo in the children's soap opera "Vivan los niños", and in 2007 in Destilando Amor which was his last TV appearance.

He was a diabetic and suffered hypertension. He was hospitalized after fainting after a theater performance. He had three hemodialysis sessions, but his health continued deteriorating finally leading to death. He died April 14, 2008.
