These birds measure between 32 and 36 cm in length.
Habitat
They inhabit forests as well as bush at altitude approximately 500m. They eat
seed s,fruit s andinvertebrate s. Along with other species of tinamous, they are often caught for food during therainy season of the Amazon. Tinamous are easy to catch because while flying they will often become fatigued or run into densefoliage , causing them to fall next to the bank of the river. They lay a clutch of 4 or 5 eggs of an intense blue green color. It is a relatively abundant species in its habitat and the main threat to it isdeforestation .References
