Sir Andrew Agnew, 8th Baronet DL (2 January 1818 – 25 March 1892), was the son of Sir Andrew Agnew, 7th Baronet and Madeline Carnegie.
Life and career
Sir Andrew Agnew attended Harrow School. He succeeded his father as 8th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw on the latter's death on 28 April 1849.
He rose to the rank of Captain in the 4th Light Dragoons. He was Member of Parliament for Wigtownshire, 1856–1868. He was Deputy Lieutenant of Wigtownshire in 1852.
On his death in 1892 he was succeeded in the baronetcy by his eldest son.
Family
He married Lady Mary Arabella Louisa Noel, daughter of Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough and Arabella Williams 20 August 1846. Their children were:
