Davide Pinato (born 15 March 1964 in Monza) is a former Italian footballer.

Career

His name was in the book of Italian football record by ranked 5th (as of 2007-08 season) in longest consecutive run without conceding a goal in Serie A, during 1997-98 season at Atalanta.

Monza

Pinato started his career at hometown club Monza. He entered into first team in summer 1985, after Monza relegation from Serie B. Played 14 times in 1985-86 season, he took the regular place from Alberto Torresin since the start of 1986-87 season. But in 1987-88 season his regular place was taken by Francesco Antonioli. He won promotion with club in summer 1988, and personally a chance to move to A.C. Milan, along with Antonioli. Monza got Giulio Nuciari in return. At Milan, Giovanni Galli was the regular and Pinato only played twice.

Pinato returned to Monza in summer 1989, but also his last spell at Monza, due to relegation to Serie C1 in summer 1990. In his last Monza season, with the left of Nuciari, his only competitor were Luca Pellini and young youth product Ivan Aiardi, he played almost all the Serie B games.

Atalanta

At Atalanta, he was first under shadow of Fabrizio Ferron during 1990-96 seasons, he missed the golden age of an ordinate player. He was on loan to Piacenza Calcio in 1991-92 seaseon, and secure the regular place from Rino Gandini. Since Ferron left in summer 1996, Pinato became the regular and putting new signing Davide Micillo as backup. But in the next season, Alberto Fontana arrived, Pinato have to at the bench again despite created the 4th longest consecutive run without conceding a goal record at that time. Fontana left in January 2001, but Pinato was too old to compete the regular place with young rising star Ivan Pelizzoli. Pelizzoli left in summer 2001 to Roma, but Pinato only secure 5 games from new signing Massimo Taibi. He played his last Serie A game against Udinese on 3 March 2002, at the age of &1000000000000003700000037 years, &10000000000000353000000353 days

In summer 2002, Pinato left Atalanta, signed with U.C. Sampdoria of Serie B. he played as the backup of Luigi Turci who played for Udinese at previous season, Pinato's last opponent.
