Ferron started his career at
A.C. Milan youth team. He then played for Sambenedettese before spent 8 seasons at Atalanta.On
February 23 ,1992 , Ferron suffered the infamy of conceding a late equaliser toMichelangelo Rampulla , the opposing goalkeeper for Cremonese, who became the first goalkeeper to score from open play inSerie A history.In a 0-3 loss away to Reggiana on
January 23 ,1994 , Ferron's heart stopped beating for some 15 seconds after a collision with an opposing striker. Luckily, he was revived shortly afterwards.He then played for Sampdoria and then as backup of
Angelo Peruzzi in Internazionale.He joined Verona in summer 2000. In summer 2002, he joined Serie A newcomer Como, compete with
Alex Brunner . He played his last Serie A games againstModena F.C. on27 April ,2003 , at age of age in years and days|1965|9|5|2003|4|27. Since Brunner left and relegation, he became regular of Como. In summer 2004, he joined Bologna as a backup ofGianluca Pagliuca , who one year younger than Ferron.Honours and awards
