List of Parliamentary constituencies in Essex

The ceremonial county of Essex, (which includes the unitary authorities of
Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock)is divided into 17 Parliamentary constituencies- 5 Borough constituenciesand 12 County constituencies.

The Boundary Commission for England has recommended that the county should in future bedivided into 18 constituencies.These changes are expected to be implemented at the United Kingdom general election, 2009/10.
