The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included in the Jugovzhodna Slovenija statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to the Saint Andrew and belongs to the Stopiče parish. It was built in the 19th century on the site of an earlier church.[3]
