Australia–Ireland relations

Australian-Irish relations are foreign relations between Australia and Ireland.Australia has an embassy in Dublin. Ireland has an embassy in Canberra, a Consulate General in Sydney and an honorary consulate in Victoria.

History

About 20% of the Australian population have Irish ancestry, which often predates Irish Independance in 1922.
