Ayub Teaching Hospital or ATH is a public sector, non-profit tertiary level teaching hospital in Abbottabad, NWFP, Pakistan. Established in 1998 it has one of the largest 24-hour emergency centers in NWFP and caters to much of eastern NWFP, the Northern Areas of Pakistan as well as certain parts of Azad Kashmir.

Patient Care

ATH employs more than 500 in-house physicians — including 60 residents and fellows — and ~200 nurses. It is part of the consortium of hospitals which operates in NWFP and is the primary teaching hospital for Ayub Medical College.

Teaching

ATH is the principal teaching affiliate of Ayub Medical College and the Ayub School of Nursing. Every member of the hospital’s medical and dental staff holds an academic appointment at the hospital and operates numerous residency training programs as well as resident and fellowship positions.
