Rmit racing

Rmit racing

[http://www.fsae.rmit.edu.au/ RMIT Racing] is a voluntary student run engineering unit that competes in the Australian and worldwide competition of Formula SAE. Based on the RMIT Bundoora campus in Melbourne, their aim is to design a car that is not only light-weight and fast, but to have the whole process of manufacturing, overheads, and fuel economy all reflect realistic results of actual business and mechanical automotive practices.

The team consists of students from most engineering disciplines that are taught at the university, being aerospace, automotive, mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing.

RMIT was titled world champion in 2007 by [http://www.fisita.com/ FISITA (International Federation of Automotive Societies)] after defeating 100 worldwide universities in 8 separate races at the Formula Student UK competition.
