"Out of Control" was the first single released by the American alternative rock band Hoobastank from their highly successful album The Reason. It charted at #16 on the US Mainstream Rock charts and at #9 on the US Modern Rock charts.

The song describes the singer, a person who is out of control after following someone's orders blindly, losing that persons trust, and not knowing what to do or who to trust, looking for answers to his pain and sadness.

The song was a part of the soundtrack from the movie torque.

The song also features backing vocals by Ian Watkins and Jamie Oliver of the Welsh alternative rock band Lostprophets.

A music video was made, directed by Nathan Cox.
