Victorian Era is a name for the period from 1837 to 1901, derived from the reign of Queen Victoria. It is the time of theBritish Industrial Revolution and the apex ofBritish Empire . America had been the second fashionable nation after Britain. So to copy the British was not a big thing for them. So they wore, decorated, ornamented and used the same manner that was installed by the Queen in Britain. So we use a common term for America following the same style as the British referring- Victorian America It included various activities-the Civil War ,Women's suffrage movement , assassinations of various American presidents and the foundation of many famous association like the famed daily newspaperThe New York Times .New England
The tourist enjoy to explore
New England for its exotic Victorian outlook for the architecture it has, a numerous museums and a lot of resources and even carriages running about. During that age The Bulfinch state house in Boston crowned the Beacon Hill and Boston Neck was exactly visible. The city was surrounded by the same saltyCharles River and thousand ponds but unsophisticated with high skyscrapers. The people were anxious about their status like as shown in several English novels set in America at that age.Concord, Massachusetts is the best example to tell the exact Victorian living. The town drained by the Concord river. Families like the Emersons, Hawthrones, Alcotts living their composing an exquisite literature.
