He is the older brother Kris Keating who left Parramatta and joined the Canterbury Bulldogs in 2011. Matt Keating's position of choice is as a hooker.[1]
Matthew Keating made his first grade debut for the Parramatta Eels on Round 1 of 2008 against the Canterbury Bulldogs. Keating took on the role of starting hooker as the replacement for Mark Riddell, who left the team to play in the Super League.
He has played in every game for the Eels since making his debut in Round 1 of 2008 to the 2009 NRL Grand Final (52 Consecutive first grade games).
